I have to admit, part of me sees Christmas as just another day. I’m not trying to put the Bah Humbug in Christmas. In fact, quite the opposite! I want EVERY day to be a reminder of the presence of Jesus in my life! I want to remember EVERY day the good news of what God has done: how He came to bring the reality of the kingdom into the world.
He is Immanuel, “God with us,” just as much now as He was when He entered this world as a baby in a manger!
That’s good news, my friends!
Let it sink into your heart and inspire you to continue the celebration tomorrow, and the next day, and into 2014!
Also here are a couple important things to be aware of…
My heart breaks today at the loss of Cheryl’s dad and Maddy’s grandpa, Wilmer. Wilmer discovered earlier in the year that he had leukemia, and wasn’t given very long to live. It’s hard to imagine losing a loved one on Christmas, of all days. At the same time, I’m thankful for two answered prayers before he passed: confirmation that Wilmer had said yes to Jesus, and a decrease in the pain and inflammation so that he was not suffering in the end. Please continue to pray for Cheryl and Maddy and their family as they deal with the loss.
Also, just a reminder that we’ll be meeting on Thursday at the usual time–starting at 6:30pm with a shared meal. This week will be a time of worship. We’ve also got plans for a New Year’s Eve gathering, so keep an eye out for more details on the dates and times for that!
Blessings,
Kevin

Please pray for Bruce Gage to be saved and for all fear, depression and any suicidal thoughts to leave.
For him to feel the love of God for him and to have great peace, even in a less than desirable situation. Thank you!
Please pray for Morgan, Sarah, and Logan to be healed emotionally and spiritually. Also for Stella to be comforted due to the loss of her son.
Thank you.
I’m currently in my fourth year in college, and I’ve fallen into serious credit card debt. I’ve already sent out a lot of prayer requests asking for breakthrough, but I know there’s something missing. I need to learn the Lord’s principles for getting breakthrough for myself. Please pray that the Lord will teach me the principles of sowing and reaping, and how to operate these principles for breakthrough. Pray that the Lord will give me a correct understanding of all His principles for breakthrough. Pray that the Lord will teach me how to pray this through, in faith, and how to follow His leading, to receive the breakthrough. Pray for wisdom for receiving the breakthrough from the courts of heaven. Thanks so much for your prayers.
Thanks for reaching out to us. Debt is a heavy burden, but it is possible with hard work and diligence to get out of it. Be sure to seek advice from wise counselors who understand how to get out of debt, and check out some of Dave Ramsey’s great materials, if you haven’t already. Praying for the Lord’s peace as you work through it. He is good and loves you, even through the areas where you’re struggling. Blessings!
