The Vineyard space looked more like Lake Vineyard!
So now the bad news and the good news.
The bad news is that our insurance does not cover flooding damage.
The good news is we had relatively little impact—mostly just having to change locations, vacuum up water, and some extra expenses to set up our outdoor sound system. The fans and dehumidifiers have been running since the clean-up, and the musty odor is fading as the humidity level goes down. We’ll be continuing to run those throughout the week and putting down some non-toxic granules to absorb the remaining water and reduce the odor. The building owner, Rick Gourley, purchased a new (very expensive!) commercial carpet cleaner and extractor, which was used on all the carpets.
The bottom line is that we’re all set for our Thursday Night Gathering and Sunday morning service and potluck.
Now here’s even better news…September is going to ROCK!
There’s so much going on, I almost don’t know where to begin.
So let me begin with the things you need to know for the next couple weeks…
First of all, this Sunday, September 6 at 10:30 am is our Sunday service and potluck (please bring a side dish to share with others), AND we’ll have some special guests. A team from Two Rivers Vineyard in Mankato, MN will be in town for Lifelight. Many of you already know Brian Brinkert, our Area Pastor and Pastor at Two Rivers, from his previous visits. He’ll be sharing with us on Sunday; and Amy, the worship leader at Two Rivers, will be leading us in worship. They’re super excited to be worshiping with us on Sunday!
Also, the application and $50 deposit for Kingdom Culture School of Ministry (KCSM) is due on Sunday. KCSM begins the following Sunday, September 13 at 6:00pm. The fall semester is going to be different from the Spring, with all new material, and all new adventures with God! So whether you did the Spring semester, or are just starting KCSM this semester, get ready to step out in new ways with God! You can get all the details here: http://www.sfvineyard.com/kingdom-culture-school.html
AND THERE’S MORE…wings, Holy Ghost Reborn, Prayer in the Park, and more…so catch all the details here on the website and Facebook page, Facebook.com/SiouxFallsVineyard.
See you on Thursday and Sunday!
Blessings,
Kevin
