Jesus desires to be both our savior and our Lord. You can’t separate one from the other. Lordship is recognizing the authority of Jesus in our lives, and allowing him to be Lord of every area of our lives:
Lord over our Finances? Check.
Lord over our Relationships? Check.
Lord over our Time? Check.
Lord over our Thoughts? Check.
Jesus spoke with a man who was obviously deeply religious, and also very well-off financially.
He asked Jesus what he must do to be saved.
Jesus listed some important actions and attitudes for a life of faith.
The man responded that he did all of those things.
Then Jesus pushed on his Lordship button, challenging him to give of his great wealth and abundance.
The man was not ready to go there.
Not all of such have a lot of money, but we have time, we have the way Jesus wants us to live, think, and treat others.
What is the area where Jesus is challenging you? How can you ensure He is Lord of every area of your life?
